The SSM 2040 Integrated Circuit

Below is a section of my Sr Thesis completed in 2006 at UCSC

This section discusses the SSM 2040 VCF integrated circuit, the many ways to configure it, and also

looks at a discrete version of the SSM 2040.

This was written by James Gideon and any feedback is appreciated.

Below are some of the various SSM 2040 chips I have used.

Above are the latest chips I purchased on an ebay auction.

Above is a close up of the chip and one upside down to show the writing on the chip's belly.

Above, I have a few that are marked SSMT2040.

I assume these chips were made at a different facility then the ones labeled SSM2040
