MAD SCIENCE LAB SSM2 Rev 3 Boards for Sale

Main SSM2 page

Here is a picture of the SSM2 board without the dual LFO's under test. This one built 2/2/2007

I am selling a few boards without SSM 2040 chips.

This is to make good use of these boards, and is mainly because I cannot find SSM chips in quantities that would make this design profitable.

These boards can be used by people capable of wiring controls and power supply to the board.

Prices for a 13 inch by 4.5 inch high qualities circuit board.

---$125. with no parts just bare circuit board

---$225 with all parts installed except 2 SSM 2040 chips or

---$200 (as before with no LFO's). There will be 2 chip sockets for the SSM chips and these boards will be tested by myself with chips installed.

If interested email me from link at bottom of this page and I will put you on the list to be notified when the boards are ready. I currently have the above board ready and 5 blank boards available.

Please let me know if you are interested in a bare circuit board or one with all parts except the 2 SSM chips.

Below is a close up of first board without the LFO section

This board has the following connections on Molex .156 headers. The 2 filters are completely separate.

-- Filter 1 -audio in and out

-- Filter 2 -audio in and out

-- Filter 1 -4 frequency control voltage inputs (-15 to +15 volts)

-- Filter 1 -3 resonance control voltages (0 to -15 volts)

-- Filter 2 -4 frequency control voltage inputs (-15 to +15 volts)

-- Filter 2 -3 resonance control voltages (0 to -15 volts)

-- Power in (+15 ,-15 volts and ground)

Above the empty socket waiting for a SSM 2040 chip.

The four clear capacitors help form the four poles of the filter.

THIS BOARD HAS BEEN SOLD

I also have 1 small board available for just a single SSM2040 filter (no SSM2040 chip )

This is an older design with less features but still sounds great. -$100

Not as nice a circuit board and .100 small molex headers

My Sr thesis was on analog design of Filters and Oscillators. See a part of it here
